The Department of Psychiatry supports the mission of the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) by contributing to the availability of high quality psychiatric care to residents of northeast Ohio; by educating and training medical students, psychiatric residents, psychology interns and other healthcare professionals in a biopsychosocial approach to the psychiatric disorders; by providing service to the community; and by engaging in research and other scholarly activities to advance the field.

Our volunteer faculty represents psychiatrists and psychologists in both the private and public sectors. We are committed to educating medical students, residents and psychology interns to become caring, compassionate, competent health care professionals of high moral character. Our students promote the growth and development of our teaching faculty in their academic and scholarly endeavors and in their service to the community.
