The Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs is committed to enhancing the recruitment, admission and retention of students from underrepresented groups in medicine. As defined by the Association of American Medical Colleges, these groups encompass individuals whose racial/ethnic background is African American, Mexican American, Native American or Puerto Rican Mainlander.

Services offered through the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs include personal and professional guidance, interaction with other medical minority students, and networking and mentorship opportunities with minority physicians throughout the consortium.
